A fair route to raise concerns
Evidence, independent consideration and a documented response.
Appeal an editorial decision
Authors may send a reasoned appeal citing the manuscript identifier, decision, disputed grounds and supporting evidence. Repeating disagreement without addressing the assessment is insufficient. A person not involved in the original decision should assess the appeal and explain the outcome. An appeal does not guarantee acceptance.
Submit a complaint
Concerns about conduct, discrimination, confidentiality, fees or published content should be directed to the confirmed editorial contact. The office records receipt, restricts access, gives affected parties an opportunity to respond and communicates a reasoned resolution. Escalation should avoid anyone with a relevant conflict.
